NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School girls tennis team took on Kittatinny on Monday and Warren Hills on Tuesday. Newton lost 3-2 against Kittatinny but won against Warren Hills 4-1.

1st Singles: Arianna Gali, (N) won over,  Meghan McLaren (WH) 6-3, 6-0

2nd Singles: Eve Sylvester(N) won over Ceyda Ferak (WH), 6-1, 6-4

3rd Singles: Kaylee Westerfield (N), won over Kayla Huggins (WH) 6-2, 6-4


1st Doubles: Maddy Chymiy and Brittany Reimer, (N)won over Megan Humphrey and Ciara O'Hagan (WH) 6-4, 7-6 (7-4)

2nd Doubles: Aaliyah Khan and Nevra Zafis, (WH), won over Olivia Martin and Hayden Caico (N) 6-3, 6-0

The results of the Kittatinny match is as follows:


1st Singles: Arianna Gali, (N) won over Kelly Romaniak (K) 6-2, 6-4

2nd Singles: Kaylee Westerfield, (N) won over Renee Slobodzian (K) 6-1, 6-3

3rd Singles: Mikayla Cooke, (K) won over Erika Ehrenberg (N) 6-1, 6-0


1st Doubles: Brianna Batta and Reese Vanderhoof, (K) won over Maddy Chymiy and Brittany Reimer (N) 6-3, 6-2

2nd Doubles: Lena Schumacher and Suzannah Hontz, (K) won over Hayden Caico and Olivia Martin (N) 6-1, 6-2

The Newton High School Girls tennis team is 8-2 overall this season. They will play away against Lenape Valley on Wednesday, beginning at 4 p.m.
