NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School coed wrestling team is getting ready for a new season with 10 returning varsity players.

“We are excited at the prospect of another challenging and fun season”, said head coach, Eric Bollette. “We return a solid core from last year but losing three state qualifiers and two state medalists will be a challenge to overcome. I am looking forward to seeing how we are able to handle competition without the 2019 senior class.”

Newton’s record in the last 20 years that Bollette has been coach is 238-187-1. Last year the team ended the season with a record of 14-7.
