SPARTA, NJ- Veritas Christian Academy’s girl soccer team played successfully playing through their championship games. 

Veritas Christian Academy girls soccer team defeated Pilgrim Academy 3-1 to win the Garden State Association of Christian Schools girls soccer tournament.  It was Veritas Christian Academy's second GSACS title. 

Pilgrim led 1-0 in the first 3 minutes until sophomore Charlotte Milanesi knocked in two goals from the left side for Veritas to take a 2-1 lead into halftime. In the second half senior Chloe Milanesi added an insurance goal after she chipped in a corner kick from Anna Torppey. Junior Rose Hockman was stellar in goal and she was helped out by junior sweeper Kayla Amels.

Charlotte Milanesi was awarded tournament MVP and Chloe Milanesi, Rose Hockman and Kayla Amels received tournament All-Stars. 

To get to Pilgrim Academy the Veritas team had to defeat Gloucester County Christian School 6-0 in the first round of the Garden State Association of Christian Schools tournament in Gloucester. 

In the Pilgrim game Veritas was led by sophomores Lily Nyman and Charlotte Milanesi who each scored two goals while seniors Amy Van Grouw and Chloe Milanesi each contributed a goal in the win. Junior goalkeeper Rose Hockman had seven saves. 

Veritas improved to 11-3 on the season.
