A 13-year-old boy found a razor blade inside a wrapped “fun size” candy bar that he got trick-or-treating in Towamencin Friday night in the neighborhood comprising Woodlawn Drive and Walnut Lane.

Brandon Gage, 13, told NBC10 he opened the candy and the razor blade fell out of it. His mother, Jennifer, called police Saturday.

Towamencin Township Police are investigating the incident, including if the candy was sealed or resealed with the razor in it. No one was injured.

Police are concerned other residents may have received such a device, and urge residents to check all candy for foreign objects. Police are not releasing the brand of candy, as the department wants all residents to check all candy.

Call 215-368-7606 if any suspicious candy is found.
