Jury Acquits Lansdale Man of Assault Charges in Bar Fight

A Lansdale man has been acquitted of aggravated and simple assault charges by a Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas jury stemming from his alleged role in a fight at Third & Walnut Bar and Lounge, according to The Reporter Online.

Jose Aurelio Vazquez, 41, of the unit block of Fairview Avenue, was charged in the alleged fight inside and outside the bar at West Third and Walnut streets in Lansdale Borough on Dec. 23, 2013, per reports.

Defense attorney Dennis Caglia's argument was his client acted in self-defense, according to the report. Futhermore, the alleged victim's testimony could not be corrborated by anyone else.
