Obese Armed Robber Flees Walgreens with Painkillers Monday Afternoon, Police Say

He's fat and he loves painkillers—and now he's wanted by Lansdale Police.

Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the individual involved in an armed robbery at Walgreens in Lansdale Monday afternoon.

At 4:15 p.m. Monday, a heavyset white man entered the Walgreens at 890 W. Main St., walked to the pharmacy and demanded pain medication while showing a handgun, police said.

After obtaining an unknown amount of painkillers, the robber fled the store on foot toward the intersection of West Main Street and North Valley Forge Road, police said.

The robber is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, weighing between 330 and 360 pounds, wearing dark clothing and white cloth over his face, police said.

Surveillance photos show heavy traffic on West Main Street when the subject fled Walgreens, police said. Police believe he crossed West Main Street at Valley Forge Road.
