TOWAMENCIN, Pa. - Wegman Companies of New York has a desire to construct a three-story, 90,000-square-foot, 110-bed, self-contained senior living facility on Forty Foot Road in Towamencin Township near the pedestrian bridge, reports The Reporter Online.

Plans for the facility call for on-site medical personnel and doctor visits, off-site transportation, and room rental fees ranging from $3,500 a month to $5,500 a month, per reports.

A conditional use approval for the Village Commercial District is needed from Towamencin Township supervisors before preliminary/final plans are approved. This could take as long as a year, with another 11 months for construction. The current property owner is working with Wegman to develop a letter of intent over a property sale.
