While the Mardi Gras Parade was going on outside in Lansdale’s downtown on Saturday, a group of individuals were giving back at Manna on Main Street.
According to its website, the Villari’s Self Defense Centers in Southeastern Pennsylvania raise money for Manna, totaling more than $46,000 since its inception.
Individuals sponsored students up to 500 kicks. Participants completed 500 kicks as a group, per the website. The event in September featured a DJ, face painting, silent auctions, a magicians, food and a demonstration by Master Harry Pfister, 6th Dan black belt.
The giving back at Manna did not end there on Saturday: The group stayed to stock shelves in Manna’s food pantry.
