SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Department of Health Thursday reported 22,011 positive tests for the COVID-19 virus overnight an increase of 93 cases with 706 COVID-19 deaths reported since March 8, 2020.

The New Jersey Department of Health on Thursday reported a total of 827,795 positive cases of the coronavirus since the pandemic began its spread in the state one year ago, an increase of 3,616 overnight. The death toll in New Jersey is 22,210, an increase of 34 overnight.

There have been 12,518,703 COVID-19 tests administered in New Jersey.

Somerville has had a total of 1,017 COVID-19 cases since March 2020, with a total of 16 COVID-19 related deaths.

The number of COVID-19 cases worldwide is 134,069.075 including 2,906,660 deaths, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control & Prevention 069,075 Thursday morning, with 31,565,569 cases in the United States and 570,326 deaths.

The SCDOH confirmed the deaths of 207 Franklin Township residents; 93 in Hillsborough/Millstone; 102 in Bridgewater; 47 in Bernards Township; 51 in North Plainfield; 35 in Green Brook; 15 in Watchung; 22 in Raritan; 23 in Bound Brook; 22 in Warren; 21 in Manville; 16 in Somerville; 21 in Montgomery; 10 in Branchburg; 5 in Bedminster; 5 in Bernardsville; 4 in South Bound Brook; 4 in Peapack-Gladstone and 1 in Rocky Hill and 1 in Far Hills.
