SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ - Somerset County is holding the next “Buy One, Bring One” collection of food for those in need Aug. 21.
The collection is for Somerset County families and individuals in need.
“Demand at the Food Bank Network is still high, especially during the summer months when there are no school lunch programs or holiday food drives,” Somerset County Freeholder Deputy Director Patricia Walsh, who spearheads the program, said in a release. “You can help by donating canned or boxed items at any of the county, municipal or library locations that host BOBO Fridays bins.”
The blue bins are located at the Somerset County Administration Building on Grove Street in Somerville; Park Commission Headquarters on Milltown Road in Bridgewater; Lord Stirling Stable on Maple Avenue in Basking Ridge; and the Environmental Education Center on Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge.
Libraries hosting the bins include the Bound Brook Memorial Library, Bridgewater Township Library, Manville Library, Mary Jacobs Memorial Library in Rocky Hill, North Plainfied Library, Peapack-Gladstone Library, Somerville Public Library, Warren Township Library and Watchung Library.
There are also bins in the municipal buildings in Bedminster, Bound Brook, Franklin, Green Brook, North Plainfield and Raritan.
