METUCHEN, NJ - The Brass Lantern was located on the outskirts of Metuchen's downtown district for 40 years before relocating to 418 Main Street in August 2013. The Brass Lantern is located in the heart of the downtown in Metuchen.

The 2,700-square-foot store has two floors packed with antiques along with traditional and Victorian gifts and home décor. Owner Lois Cataldo stated she loves the fact that people come in and find a special gift for somebody, because there is something for everyone here at the Brass Lantern.

 The entrance features decorations from the current holiday season, although St. Patrick's Day and Christmas collectibles are available all year round. The Brass Lantern carries antiques, collectables, any holiday decoration you might imagine, Yankee candles, linens, a huge selection of quality yarn and knitting accessories, house wares, greeting cards, stationary, toys, photo and scrap albums, baby gifts and clothes, Christening outfits, skin care products, made-to-order gift baskets, women's clothing, a wedding selection, jewelry, teas and cookies, jams, jellies, chocolates and a whole selection of gourmet foods; and that's just the beginning.

Cataldo invites everyone to “take a journey though the doorway of The Brass Lantern and you will be treated to a feast for your senses.”  Cataldo stated the Brass Lantern offers “An amazing array of textures, lights, colors, and scents collected in a vast and beautiful inventory of thousands of items from the practical to the unique, it's the perfect shopping destination and a visit is a chance to become lost in exploration.”

“Come in and browse; you might leave with one small treasure or find you've completed half of your holiday shopping list,” added Cataldo. Bedminster Woman Dies From Injuries After Being Struck by Car in Mall Parking Lot

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A Bedminster woman has died from her injuries after being struck by a car in the parking lot of the Bridgewater Commons Mall Monday.
