RARITAN, NJ - Burlington is opening a new store at the former Toys “R” Us/Babies “R” Us location in the Somerville Circle Shopping Center in Raritan.
According to a release, Burlington is opening the new 46,000-square-foot location in spring 2020.
“Off price retailers are thriving in the current marketplace, and Burlington – which is aggressively expanding its footprint – is no exception,” Vanessa Fernandez-Kelty, a senior leasing representative with Levin Management Corporation that owns the shopping center, said in the release.
According to the release, Burlington operates about 690 stores in 45 states and Puerto Rico. The store offers in-season, fashion-focused merchandise for women, men and kids, as well as accessories, footwear and more.
Also at the shopping center are Staples, Petco and P.C. Richard & Son, plus Carter’s, Jersey Mike’s, Panera Bread, Five Below and Harmon Discount.
“Burlington is a terrific anchor addition for this property, which is an established ‘one-stop’ shopping destination for regional consumers,” Fernandez-Kelty said in the release. “This is a great example of our efforts not just to fill space, but to fill space with the right tenant – one that complements its co-tenancy and adds to a property’s dynamic.”
Once the store opens, the shopping center will be near full occupancy, with just one 3,000-square-foot shop remaining.
