GREEN BROOK, NJ – Last Saturday CKO Kickboxing held a special event for members and partners as part of the national effort to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer care and research.
“Many of our members and staff have had their lives touched by breast cancer,” said Bob O’Gara, the former National Football League player who opened CKO in June. “We thought it would be a great cause for our first fundraiser at CKO in Green Brook.”
O’Gara asked local businesses and partners donated gifts and services for a raffle, and CKO members and students made donations for the effort.
“We raised about $450,” said O’Gara. “We plan to make this an annual event at CKO, and to increase our contribution every year.”
CKO Kickboxing is on Route 22 East in Green Brook, sharing a small mall with the Kid to Kid consignment shop.
