GREEN BROOK, NORTH PLAINFIELD, WATCHUNG, NJ - Registered voters are reminded to review the ballot for the General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 7.  Polling locations will be open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

PUBLIC QUESTION #1: NEW JERSEY LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION BOND ACT - Do you approve the "New Jersey Library Construction Bond Act"? This bond act authorizes the State to issue bonds in the aggregate principal amount of $125 million. The proceeds of the bonds will be used to provide grants to public libraries. The grants will be used to build, equip, and expand public libraries to increase capacity and serve the public. 

 

PUBLIC QUESTION #2:  CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT DEDICATING MONEYS FROM STATE ENVIRONMENTAL CONTAMINATION CASES - Do you approve amending the Constitution to dedicate all moneys collected by the State relating to natural resource damages in cases of contamination of the environment? The moneys would have to be used to repair, restore, replace, or preserve the State's natural resources. The moneys may also be used to pay legal or other costs incurred by the State in pursuing its claims.

To vote for a write in candidate:


1. Upon entering the voting booth, locate For Membership to the Boards of Education and follow this row across to the personal choice column and press the button.

2. A green arrow<= will begin to flash. (note: the <=will continue to flash until the write-in is completed).

3. At the bottom of the ballot is the maroon write-in keypad, which is approximately waist high. Type in the first name of the candidate for whom you wish to vote. Use the arrow key for the space. Then type in the last name. Now press "enter" which is located on the pad.

4.If an error on the write-in is made- before you press "enter'' on the write-in keypad- press the arrow key to the left until the error is cleared and then re-type the name. To make a space, press the arrow key to the right.

After you have completed voting the entire ballot, press the orange "cast vote" button located on your lower right-hand side.
