SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Department of Health Wednesday reported 17,834 positive tests for the COVID-19 virus, an increase of 65 cases overnight, with 680 COVID-19 deaths reported since March 8.

The New Jersey Department of Health on Wednesday reported a total of 689,944 positive cases of the coronavirus since the pandemic began its spread in the state 346 days ago an increase of 2,558 overnight. The death toll in New Jersey is 20,746, an increase of 57 overnight.

There have been 10,402,649 COVID-19 tests administered in New Jersey.

Somerville has had a total of 781 COVID-19 cases since March, with a total of 15 COVID-19 related deaths.

The number of COVID-19 cases worldwide is 112,460,166 including 2,490,493 deaths, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control & Prevention on Wednesday morning, with 28,839,995 cases in the United States and 513,245 deaths.

The SCDOH confirmed the deaths of 201 Franklin Township residents; 89 in Hillsborough/Millstone; 101 in Bridgewater; 47 in Bernards Township; 49 in North Plainfield; 35 in Green Brook; 15 in Watchung; 22 in Raritan; 21 in Bound Brook; 18 in Warren; 18 in Manville; 15 in Somerville; 19 in Montgomery; 9 in Branchburg; 5 in Bedminster; 5 in Bernardsville; 4 in South Bound Brook; 4 in Peapack-Gladstone and 1 in Rocky Hill and 1 in Far Hills.
