GREEN BROOK, NJ – The National Weather service is predicting heavy rains of two to four inches on Tuesday and Wednesday, coming and has issued a flood watch for the area starting on Wednesday morning. The possibility of flooding in streams and on certain roadways continues after the heavy rain stops.
The area had only 4.11 inches during March.
According to the NOAA a flood watch means that there is a potential for flooding based on forecasts, not that there is definite flooding on the horizon.
Residents who live or work near one of the many brooks and streams in Green Brook and North Plainfield should be aware of the possibility of flooding, and continue to listen to weather reports for more information.
