This year, we are opening registration on www.gbll.org earlier than ever as we have some changes regarding the programs offered for 2017. Our Spring Rec programs are mostly the same as offered last year.

2017 Spring Rec Programs include:

TBALL                                   Ages 4 & 5

Sign Up for E-News

Coach Pitch                           Ages 6 & 7

AA (Kid & Coach Pitch)           Ages 7 & 8

Minors                                  Ages 9 & 10

Majors                                  Ages 11 & 12

Seniors                                 Ages 13, 14 & 15

While always appreciated, payment is not required to register (just close out of the last screen when  “Register Another” or “Pay Now” is prompted). If you do not pay immediately you will be registered but you will not receive a confirmation email until payment in full is made. We will send out a reminder email when payment is due – February 15th 2017 for Majors and Minors and later for other Rec Programs. Since payment is not due for several months, register your player TODAY so we can start planning for a great 2017 Rec Baseball Season! Information regarding Pre-Season practices, Training sessions & Rec Evaluations will be sent as the 2017 season gets closer!

The big change this year is regarding our Travel Baseball program.  Travel Baseball is not a requirement for those that just want to play Spring Rec.  Travel is an extra opportunity to play competitive baseball above and beyond our core Spring Rec Baseball program. In an effort to standardize  the Travel experience and to become more competitive, those players interested in playing Travel Baseball in the 2017 season will be required to register and tryout in the Fall/Winter of 2016 for the next year. This is very similar to “club” type programs. These tryouts are scheduled for December 10th and December 18th at Full Count Baseball Academy in Middlesex.  Evaluations conducted by the Full Count staff will be standardized and independent to ensure impartiality in the travel selection process. Complete tryout information is listed at the bottom of this email.

Please note, Registration for a 2017 Spring Rec Program is a requirement in order to register/ be considered for Travel Baseball in the 2017 season.

The Travel registration cost of $350 is for 10 “Team” winter training sessions and a 10 game travel schedule in the Spring of 2017. These games are usually on Sundays but will be scheduled around the Spring Rec season by the appropriate travel manager. Summer Travel Baseball will be a separate cost and a separate registration closer to that actual season. Separate evaluations/tryouts for Summer travel will NOT be held. Travel players for 2017 will be selected in Winter/Fall of 2016.

Registration for the appropriate Travel level (8U, 9U, etc.) is required in order to try out for the 2107 travel team. However, payment is not required up front  in order to be evaluated. If your player is selected for the travel team, payment will be required prior to the start of the winter training sessions.

The age determination day for all travel players is May 1st 2017. Your player’s age on that day is the age they are considered for travel purposes.  Please register your player in appropriate age bucket based on this determination date.

There is no Spring Travel for 7U. Please stay tuned for our BIG announcement regarding 7U Summer Travel as we get closer to that season!
