WARREN, NJ - A Warren patrol was flagged down and advised of a hit and run on Mountain Boulevard near Krauzer’s, on Monday afternoon. After an extensive search and foot chase, the accused was arrested on Sawmill Road, police said.

 

Malaria Woods, of Newark, was issued summonses for careless driving, leaving the scene of a crash, failure to report a crash, reckless driving,  failure to possess an insurance card, uninsured motor vehicle, failure to possess registration, operating a vehicle while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance. and obstructing the administration of law. Woods was in possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana, police said.

Warren police and TAPinto sent out alerts on Monday afternoon that said police activity in the area of Reinman Road and Saw Mill Road had ended with an arrest, and that there were no current threats to the public.
