SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – KC’S Korner located at 100 Oak Tree Ave in South Plainfield will be the place to be, at least at night, during this week’s Barclay’s Tournament at the Plainfield Country Club. KC’s is planning a number of events and give aways. Thursday evening from 6:00 – 7:30pm ESPN Radio will be at KCs, and on Friday evening Amp’d will be playing with a number of special guests and notable personalities.
“This is going to be an awesome week,” said KC’s owner Walter Kurilew. “There will be so much going on. Thursday we have ESPN Radio here. We are going to be giving away so many prizes. “We will be offering the Michelob Ultra Ultimate VIP Experience Contest where people can win a VIP Experience Pass to the Barclay’s. The pass includes VIP behind the scenes tour, VIP hospitality passes, a corporate luncheon with players meet and greet, and much more. There will be no cover, just walk in to KCs.”
“I’m so excited about the week,” said KC’s waitress Cheri Tanzola. Thursday night will be great, but we will heat things up for the weekend beginning Friday night. Amp’d is playing, and from what Walter tells us there will be some special guests in both the band and in the crowd.”
“Walter is so tight lipped about what’s going on and who is coming. We know it must be good,” said KC’s waitress Denise Hoppe.
The Barclay’s last played at the Plainfield Country Club in 2011. The Tournament was cut short by Hurricane Irene. “I know Hurricane Danny is floating around in the Caribbean, but it isn’t going to be able to stop things this year,” said Kurilew.
“I’m excited about the Barclay’s, but I really can’t wait to see what KC’s has in store for everyone,” said South Plainfield Mayor Matthew P. Anesh. “Walter and his crew I know will bring their “A” game this week, and I’m sure they will have the patio hopping with all sorts of seafood delicacies.”
KC’s Korner, a staple of South Plainfield for years, has expanded its outdoor patio area and offers a variety of fresh grilled seafood along with its normal Pub menu.
“Golfing at the Country Club is easy,” said KC’s Jerry Tanzola. “The real competition will be in KC’s this week. Let’s see who from the Tour can do 18 rounds in KC’s.”
“We are proud to be hosting a number of events this week,” said Kuriew. “It’s a great opportunity to show the spectators and golfers from around the world how you can have great food and a good time here in New Jersey.”
