NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ -- What are you looking forward to this summer?  Cool drinks on hot days?  Brilliant sunshine urging your garden to grow?  Burying your toes in the sand with a good book, or settling into your favorite chair with a juicy story?

Reading is one of the great pleasures in life, be it a novel, comic book, biography, sharing a picture book with your child, or listening to an engrossing story on your daily commute to work.  Why not visit the library to borrow from our vast collection of resources, including eBooks  and audiobooks, and sign up for the summer reading program!   You could enter to win prizes, like a gift card, Android tablet, or a very large plush panda bear.   All ages are welcome to join.

The children’s room has a “Read-with-Me” club for pre-readers and beginning readers as well as a club for children entering kindergarten through fifth grade.  Students entering sixth grade through twelfth may join the teen club. All participants of the Children and Teen Summer Reading Clubs will earn prizes, like free books and small toys, just for reading over the summer.  Anyone over eighteen may sign up for the adult club, where you will receive a tote bag just for joining.

The more you read the more chances you have to win prizes!  Visit our online events calendar for program offerings throughout the summer, or pick up a program booklet when you visit the library.  Registration starts Monday, June 16 and the club runs until August 23.  For more information call 908-755-7909.  The North Plainfield Memorial Library is located at 6 Rockview Ave. and you can find us on the web at www.sclsnj.org.
