SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - A lifelong resident of South Plainfield, Andrea Lacerda began her career in real estate 20 years ago, affiliating with Century 21 Moretti Realty. Andrea developed the team concept early on and established the Lacerda Team with her husband Jesse Lacerda in 1998. In 2011 Prudential New Jersey Properties bought out Century 21 Moretti Realty and has since rebranded to Berkshire Hathaway Home Services-New Jersey Properties. The Lacerda Team has remained under that umbrella and continues to be located at 225 Maple Avenue in South Plainfield.

The Lacerda Team has now grown to include five team members, each having various roles on the team. The team includes Andrea, team leader; Jesse, client care manager; Michele Leavy, lead buyers agent and Internet sales coordinator; Susan Espin, processing and marketing assistant; and Joseph Lacerda, team assistant.

Together, they specialize in all aspects of residential real estate, listing specialization, home staging, marketing, new home construction and commercial real estate throughout Middlesex, Somerset and Union counties. Additionally, Andrea and Jesse’s backgrounds in banking – Andrea with 20 years in commercial lending and Jesse with 27 years in bank management prior to becoming realtors - have proven invaluable in understanding all aspects of the real estate industry.

Andrea’s motto is “Trusted for Experience, Respected for Results” and the team prides itself on helping buyers and sellers make the right move for the last 20 years. To date, the agency has successfully moved 985 families with a sales volume over $271 million.

Sellers that have an interest in enhancing their properties with staging will often seek advice from the Lacerda Team. “We will take out time with our sellers to stage and market their properties if they seek it,” said Andrea, noting that the extra attention to detail makes a dramatic difference when it comes to selling a home. “Our efforts will help put a seller’s home in the best light, which will ultimately get them the best price possible.”
