Do not travel through water covered roadways. If you encounter flooding, “Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life,” the service warned. “Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely."

"Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms moving into the area from the west. Between one and two inches of rain can be expected ...some of this falling in a short period of time causing poor drainage and roadway flooding and nickel size hail,"  the service said.

Some local roadways are already covered in standing water.
