North Plainfield, NJ -- North Plainfield police report that no charges have been filed in a motor vehicle accident in which a pedestrian was struck by a motorist at 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 13.  

The driver, Iris Venture of Plainfield, was driving toward Route 22 on Watchung Avenue when he struck a 14 year old North Plainfield boy with his car in the road at Jackson Avenue.  Venture stopped immediately and remained on site, and spoke with investigating officers.  Though an investigation is ongoing, Venture has not been charged with a crime.

The boy, who is not being identified because of his age, was treated by the North Plainfield Fire Department and was taken to Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick where he remains hospitalized.
