NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ -- For more than a decade North Plainfield has hosted Santa for the community, offering kids young and old a chance to meet the jolly elf, get a picture and donate a toy for the needy.

In 2014, Santa will be arriving at the North Plainfield Community Center at 614 Greenbrook Road at 4 pm, and he'll be available for two hours while the town celebrates the season and lights its holiday tree.

Participants are invited to bring their own camera for pictures with Santa, and also to bring a new, unwrapped toy.

The event is being hosted by Mayor Mike Giordano, the Mayor's Special Events Committee and the Parks and Recreation Commission.  Hot cocoa is being provided by the North Plainfield Marching Band Parents.
