NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The North Plainfield Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect involved in a package theft earlier this month.

According to police, at approximately 4 p.m. Jan. 6, the suspect walked up to a Rockview Avenue residence and stole package that had been delivered and left on a front porch.

The suspect is described as a black male who, at the time of the incident, was wearing a red pullover under a camouflage jacket, gray sweatpants with blue or black stripes, and white sneakers. The suspect was also wearing a black backpack with what appears to be a baseball bat protruding.
