“Most people who experience cardiac arrest at home, work or in public locations die because they don’t receive immediate CPR. Receiving CPR more than doubles a person’s chance of survival,” said Wright, adding, “We provide EMS coverage for both North Plainfield and Green Brook and even our fastest response times cannot beat the immediate initiation of CPR."

The North Plainfield Professional Firefighters Local 2958 CPR Awareness Day is free; preregistration is suggested and walk-in will be welcome, however, space is limited and open on a first come basis. For more information, or to preregister, email your name, contact number, class choice and number of attendees to Watchung Avenue Presbyterian Church is located at 170 Watchung Ave, North Plainfield NJ 07060.
