NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Are you ringing in the New Year with resolutions of fitness and exercise? North Plainfield Recreation Department is going to help residents keep their resolutions for 2016. Zumba will be resuming in January at the Stony Brook Gym. Zumba will begin on Monday, January 11th from 7:00 pm to 8:00 p.m, and Zumba Gold will begin on Wednesday, January 14th at the same time and location as regular Zumba.
Yoga will resume Thursday January 14th from 7pm to 8pm in the lower level at the Community Center.
Tickets may be purchased at the recreation office Monday through Friday from 1pm to 5pm beginning Monday January 4th. Residents need to call first to make sure someone will be there. A Director will be in the office every Tuesday night from 7pm to 8pm starting Tuesday January 5th.
Tickets are $10 per class or you may purchase a 10 class card for $80. Tickets are good for either program. Each time you take a class, the card will be punched. Residents may bring a guest (the card will be punched twice)
The recreation department will also be sponsoring an adult co-ed badminton program starting Wednesday January 13th at East End School.
The Mayor's sponsored free senior program will continue. All Senior Photo ID cards are issued at the recreation office during the same time period.
