NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – North Plainfield’s Nick Cherasaro continues to be the straw the stirs the drink. The Canuck junior blasted a three run homerun, his fifth of the season, and threw five scoreless innings allowing just one hit while striking out 10 in North Plainfield’s 12-0 dismantling of Manville. In two games this year North Plainfield has outscored Manville 30-2.
In addition to Cherasaro, North Plainfield’s Vinny Mastrobattista was 2-for-2 with three runs scored. The victory improves North Plainfield’s record to 6-5 on the season. The Canucks play away tomorrow at South Hunterdon.
