BARNEGAT, NJ - Barnegat and Ocean Township have many things in common. Beautiful glimpses of the bay, as well as the sun and moon all provide a vision of grandeur.  

Barnegat reader Staci Blahut shared one of her recent photographic gems. A national reserve in the community offers yet another natural view of the place a combination of more than 30,000 people call home.

“I recently took this picture at the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge,” shared Staci. “It's of Bayshore Drive in Barnegat.

The Barnegat portion of the Refuge sits towards the middle of the scenic refuge, which goes as far North as Brick Township. Forsythe Headquarters are furthermost south - in Galloway.  Barnegat's Refuge area boasts an observation platform.
