GREEN BROOK, NJ - The tree is lit, Santa has arrived and the holiday season officially kicked off in Green Brook on Friday.

Green Brook Recreation hosted the annual tree lighting celebration on Friday night with performances by various groups ( see dancers here) and ending with the arrival of Santa Claus on a Green Brook fire engine. (see Santa video here)

Santa Paws will greet area pups on Saturday at Central Bark Dog Park at noon. 

And next year, the festivities will be in the new park.

Santa Claus will remain in the area and will be greeting children at many locations over the weekend. On Sunday, he'll be back on a fire truck to lead the Warren Holiday Walk.
