WARREN, NJ - Everyone loves Santa.

Hundreds of Warrenites braved the cold to see Santa at the Holiday Walk sponsored by the Warren Township Chamber of Commerce this year.

The event, which was open to the public and free to all attendees, started at 2 p.m. at the Pheasant Run Plaza, where Santa Claus arrived on a fire truck  to a waiting crowd. The Watchung Hills High School Marching band helped to greet Santa and led him, escorted by the Washington Valley Fire Department, on a parade through the town center.

Music from the Watchung Hills Marching Band  kept the mood lively and Santa's elves, in Warren Township Police cars, stopped traffic for the parade to cross the streets.

After arriving at the Municipal Complex, a petting zoo, cotton candy The Lions ‘Leo’ and much more greeted the crowd. Children wrote letters to Santa and families lined up to see the big guy himself.  Take Flight dance students performed, the WHRHS Tri M students and Mount Bethel singers sang carols before Mayor Garafola flipped the switch to light Warren’s Christmas Tree.
