WARREN, NJ - In a few short weeks, Warren Township students will be returning to school. Some important dates to start the 2019-20 school year and plan for the first few weeks of school are:

Teacher assignments and bus information will go out to Warren Township School District week of Monday, Aug. 26.  Bus information is available now for Watchung Hills students and schedules will be available on Friday at noon. Ordering for myFoodDays at Warren Middle School is now open and K-8 registration is open. Registration must be completed to receive bus and teacher assignments. WHRHS is experiencing some issues with the bus information and will update Genesis when it’s corrected.

WHRHS Freshmen:  Remember that you will not receive your Chromebook at New Student Orientation if you and your parent have not signed the two IT forms within each of your accounts

Walk Throughs and Orientation

For all K-5 students and family members, a Walk Through where students can walk through the building, meet their teachers, and see their classrooms will take place in the elementary schools on Thursday, Aug. 29 from 2-2:30.

At Warren Middle School, a walk through for all middle school students will be held on Thursday, Aug. 29 from 1-1:30 p.m. Sixth grade orientation will be held  on the first day of school.

At Watchung Hills, incoming freshman will have an opportunity to find their classrooms and meet their teachers on Thursday, Aug. 29 from 7:30 – 10:30 am. Bus transportation will be provided. 

The freshmen will follow an abbreviated eight-period schedule and peer leaders and teachers will be in the hallways to assist with directions.

The first day of school at all Warren elementary schools, Warren Middle School and Watchung Hills Regional High School is Tuesday, Sept. 3. The first day of school is a full day for K-8 students and Watchung Hills. Students will have two days off for the Jewish holidays, in September with schools closed on Sept. 30 for Rosh Hashanah, Oct. 9 for Yom Kippur, Oct. 14 for Columbus Day and Oct. 15 for staff development. In addition, Watchung Hills will have a half Day for Students and Faculty on Friday, Oct. 4.

Warren Middle School will hold grade 6 Back to School night on Tuesday, Sept. 17 and 7th grade and 8th grade Back to School night on Sept. 19, all at 7 p.m.

And at Watchung Hills, Thursday, Oct. 3  is Back to School Night and Friday, Oct. 4 is a Half Day for Students and Faculty.
