GREEN BROOK, NJ -- Area schools are closed in anticipation of a major snowstorm that is expected to close out a seemingly neverending winter, throwing schedules into chaos and once again cancelling PARCC testing for many students.

North Plainfield, Green Brook and Watchung Regional schools have all announced closures.

Snowfalls are expected to be three to five inches, ending in the early afternoon, but falling on top of recent icing roads and sidewalks.  Drivers and pedestrians are warned to travel with care.
