WARREN, NJ - Cheers erupted at Tuesday night’s meeting of the Watchung Hills Regional High School Board of Education when Board President Peter Fallon announced that the board had agreed to the salary guides proposed by the Watchung Hills Regional Education Association (WHREA).

The Watchung Hills Board of Education and the WHREA reached a tentative memorandum of agreement for a new three-year contract back in May and the then existing five year contract expired on June 30.
A few things still need to happen before details can be provided. The WHREA needs to vote to ratify the agreement, and then the board votes to accept it, most probably at its next meeting.
Ken Karnas, WHREA President, thanked the board. ( see video here)
