NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Somerset County Freeholder Patricia Walsh has announced that the first 2017 ‘Buy One, Bring One’ (BOGO) collection of food for Somerset County families and individuals in need will be held on Friday, Jan. 20. The program has collected more than 30 tons of donations since it began in July 2010.

Donations of canned or boxed items can be dropped in blue BOBO Fridays bins at various county locations, including the Green Brook and North Plainfield municipal buildings as well as the North Plainfield Library and Watchung Library.

Bins are also located at the Bound Brook Memorial Library, Bridgewater Library, Manville Library, Mary Jacobs Memorial Library (Rocky Hill), Peapack-Gladstone Library, Somerville Public Library, and Warren Township Library as well as the Bedminster, Bound Brook, Franklin and Raritan municipal buildngs. Additionally, items can be dropped in bins located at the Somerset County Administration Building, 20 Grove Street, Somerville; Park Commission Headquarters, 355 Milltown Road, Bridgewater; and Lord Stirling Stable, 256 S. Maple Avenue, Basking Ridge.

Although the “BOBO Fridays” collection date is the third Friday of every month, the bins are always available, so donations may be dropped off at any time during regular business hours at all locations.
