WARREN, NJ - Watchung Hills Regional High School football coach Marc Crisafi announced his resignation on Friday, April 24.

Crisafi will remain at Watchung Hills as a physical education and health teacher, but he notified the school that he would not be returning to coach this fall.

At Tuesday's Board of Education meeting, members of the Touchdown Club addressed the Board expressing concern over the replacement process and offering support for offensive coordinator Joe Ascolese. The Touchdown Club wants to see Ascolese named as replacement in order to ensure continuity for the football program.

Superintendent Elizabeth Jewett said that the search for a new coach was started immediately and that the administration recognizes the urgency in finding a replacement. Jewett said that the administration would provide updates as to the progress of the search.
