HOWELL, NJ - The Warrior ICEMEN are red hot. Zach Lindewirth's shorthanded goal snapped a scoreless game late in the third period to lead Watchung Hills to a 1-0 victory over Howell. The win over 5th seeded Howell sends Watchung Hills into the quarterfinals of the NJSIAA Public A tournament.

Watchung Hills is set to play a familiar opponent in 4th ranked Ridge Monday in the NJSIAA quarterfinal game. The Watchung Hills and Ridge have played three times this year with Ridge knocking out Watchung Hills in the semi-finals of the Skyland Cup 4-1. Ridge went on to win the Skyland cup 6-1 over Hunterdon Central.

Josh LoGiudice set up Lindewirth's game winning goal was setup by Josh LoGiudice. The goal came with just 6:56 remaining in regulation. Lindewirth has a team-leading 12 goals this season.

Watchung Hills goalie Ryan McHugh recorded his fourth shutout of the season while Bobby Dovenero made 17 saves in net for Howell.

The Watchung Hills record improves to 12-6-4 on the season.
