NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Update: The 11th annual North Plainfield Clean Community Day scheduled for Sat. May 6 has been cancelled due to weather conditions and will not be rescheduled.

 

The 11th annual Clean Community Day is sponsored by the North Plainfield Forum and the Borough of North Plainfield and is an opportunity to meet neighbors, make friends and work together to clean several areas in our community in commemoration of Earth Day.

The day will begin with registration at 8:30 AM at the North Plainfield Community Center (614 Greenbrook Road) and then move to the areas to be cleaned. Residents are welcome to organize a crew or come on their own. All civic groups and organizations are encouraged to participate! Children are welcome and encouraged to take part in Clean Community Day, but must be at least 7 years old to participate and accompanied by an adult.

Those helping are asked to wear appropriate work shoes or boots, and gloves. Bring a rake if possible! Other supplies will be provided by the borough. T-shirts will be given to volunteers at registration.

A picnic style lunch will be served to all volunteers on the Community Center Side Lawn at the end of the work day!
