WARREN, NJ - Watchung Hills saw a legitimate dunk on Thursday in the boys basketball team upset win over Hunterdon Central, 69-53.

Dan Pilsbury scored 17 points to lead Watchung Hills,  Mike Hopwood added 12, Chad Martini had 11, and Michael Bressler added 10. Gavin DeFuria finished with nine points. 

Freshman Chad Martini got the dunk.

The Warriors took an early lead and never looked back. Watchung Hills was up 37-21 at the half.

“Tremendous win for our program, great job by our players, coaches, student section and parents,” said WHRHS head coach Justin Salton. “The boys continue to work hard and play together, we are so proud of them. We will enjoy this...as always, our schedule is brutal as we travel to Ridge and Montgomery next week. One day at a time...we are just enjoying each day being with these terrific young men.”

Both Watchung Hills and Hunterdon Central are now 6-3 on the season. Hunterdon Central lost to Ridge and Hillsborough. 

Watchung Hills next plays West Morris away on Saturday.

SCVTHS Holds First Ever Alumni Homecoming Event
