WARREN, NJ - In the team's final game before the State Tournament on Saturday, the Watchung Hills Warriors kept their momentum going, defeating Voorhees 11-5 on Wednesday.
Ryan Cunningham had another five goal performance, also netting one assist in the process.
Other than Cunningham, three other players added a goal to the win. Alec Orazietti scored three along with an assist while both Joe Rica and Tyler Furlong accumulated a goal and two assists.
The defense had another stellar performance, picking up ground balls and stopping Voorhees from creating any momentum.
Goalie Jack Ayre saved 12, allowing just five goals in the back of the net.
Will Passera recorded 13 saves for Voorhees.
The eighth-seeded Warriors will take on ninth-seeded Livingston on Saturday, as the team looks to advance to the second round and keep their season alive.
