WARREN, NJ - Pingry shut out the Watchung Hills boys soccer team on Thursday 2-0 but the game was closer than the score suggests.
“It’s never a good feeling to lose even if it is against a strong opponent,” said WHRHS head coach Greg Leonow. “But I am proud of the competitive performance our team.”
Jake Seyda saved 10 shots on goal for the Warriors.
Pingry scored 30 minutes in. Pranav Jha sent a ball into the box and Jacob Lamb hit a header to give Pingry the 1-0 lead. Tristan Sempedro scored Pingry's second goal early in the second half.
Watchung Hills next takes on Ridge away on Saturday in the Somerset County Tournament.
