The All Eastern Honors Chorus and Orchestra are programs sponsored by the NAFME (National Association for Music Educators) Eastern Division Conference, and managed by the New Jersey Music Educators Association. It’s 2017 conference, and the rehearsals and performances by the All Eastern Honors Choruses and Orchestra, as well as All Eastern Honors Band and Jazz Ensemble, will be held from Wednesday, April 5, through Saturday, April 8, at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

Previously, Horvath and Mu have also been selected for All Regional and All State Choruses, and Marmolejas has been selected for All Regional and All State Orchestras.

These selections for All Regional and All State Chorus and Orchestra have yet to be determined.

All three students said their goal this year is to sing and play better than they did last year, and to make a better contribution to the performance of the All Eastern groups.

Last year, Marmolejas added that he liked talking to the students from other schools about their musical experiences.  As an example, he said, he found it valuable to talk to the other musicians about how they search and find ways to improve the tonal quality of their playing. They traded stories and technique ideas, he said, and that was one of the reasons why rehearsing and playing with them was such a valuable experience for him. And what he learned there, he then brought back and applied to his playing at WHRHS.
