WARREN, NJ - The Watchung Hills Boys and Girls varsity soccer teams both defeated Phillipsburg on Tuesday.

Michael Tobin and Evan Bujnowski scored a goal each on assists from David Cantone and Joel Veliz to lead Watchung Hills over Phillipsburg, 2-1, in Warren.

Liam Bo Scanlon made five saves for Watchung Hills.

“Good win, puts us in position to earn a home state playoff game, and keeps us in contention for a conference championship if PBurg can beat Montgomery next Tuesday, said WHRHS boys coach Justin Salton.

In Phillipsburg, sophomore Chloe Ferreira scored two goals to lead Watchung Hills over Phillipsburg on Tuesday, 2-1.

In goal, Nicole Entrup made four saves for Watchung Hills, and Lauren Flynn made 11 saves for Phillipsburg.
