WARREN, NJ - The Watchung Hills girls varsity soccer team defeated Franklin at home on Wednesday, 6-1, to improve to 4-1 on the season. And at Franklin, the Watchung Hills boys came from behind to win, 3-2 on goals from Jake Noerr, Tanguy Lesegretain, and Alex Carnevale.
 

"I couldn’t be happier for our boys today,” said WHRHS head coach Greg Leonow. “Coming back from two goals behind, to score three goals in the final 20 minutes of the game showed their great desire and determination.”

At home, Claudia Ferreira scored twice, and Jayden Fleishacker, Paige Thomas and Jenna Tobia each netted one goal each for Watchung Hills. Lauren Kozabal scored for Franklin.

 

Watchung Hills next faces North Hunterdon on Friday( girls) and Saturday(boys).
