WARREN, NJ - Watchung Hills’ Julia Skrobacz game winning double in the ninth inning led the Lady Warriors to a dramatic 3-2 extra inning win over North Hunterdon. Sophia Cicchetti, who tripled to leadoff the ninth inning, scored the winning run for Watchung Hills.

Watchung Hills jumped out to a 2-0 fourth inning lead. Lady Warrior hurler Robin McCabe was cruising through North Hunterdon’s lineup until the seventh inning. North Hunterdon rallied for two runs off McCabe in the seventh inning to throw the game into extra innings.

McCabe go the win striking out 10 batters while allowing two runs on seven hits.

Skrobacz was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Cicchetti went 2-for-4 with two runs.

In other Skyland Conference news Wednesday, Ridge upset Bridgewater-Raritan, 10-6.

Update: Police Break Up Fight Involving 40-50 People at Bridgewater Commons Mall

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — No injuries have been reported in an incident that shut down Bridgewater Commons Mall Thursday evening after a fight involving a crowd of 40-50 people.

Police are still investigating unconfirmed reports of shots being fired, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office.
