WARREN, NJ - It was a crazy game. 

Down two in the second inning, Watchung Hills tied the game on miscommunication on the field and went on to top Ridge on Thursday, 8-5.

The Ridge players ran in on what they thought was a third out in the second inning, however the runner was called safe and the second run scored with an empty field.

Robin McCabe started on the mound and Sophia Cicchetti threw the last five innings, allowing just nine hits,  to earn the win for Watchung Hills.

The Warriors had 17 hits.

Julia Skrobacz finished 3-for-4 with a double, three RBI and one run, Izzy Definis went 3-for-4 with two runs, Genna Cicchetti and Shelly Zoppi each added one RBI and scored a run and Robin McCabe doubled and scored a run.

Watchung Hills is now 8-2 on the season.
