WARREN, NJ -  What a senior day. The Watchung Hills varsity softball Warriors shut out the Franklin Warriors on senior day Monday, 22-0.

 

The Watchung Hills varsity softball seniors are: Lianna Meehan, Emma Reedman, Julia Skrobacz, and Tina Zoppi.

Watchung Hills took an 11-0 lead in the first inning, scored one run in the second and ten in the third.

 

Izzy Definis pitched a four-inning one-hitter with seven strikeouts and no walks and went 3-for-3 with one double, four RBI and three runs.

 

Lianna Meehan went 2-for-3 with one double, three RBI and one run, Shelly Zoppi went 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run, Julia Amiano, Danielle Mentone and Emma Reedman each had one RBI and three runs and Tina Zoppi went 1-for-2 with one RBI and two runs. 

 

Molly Swayne got the lone hit for Franklin.

 

Watchung Hills is now 11-4 on the season and next plays Bridgewater-Raritan on Tuesday.

SCBP Biz Fest 2018 Draws Record Crowd
