TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Kicks Off
Movers for Meals Drive to Aid Hungry Families
Community-Supported Program Feeds Families this Holiday Season

Livingston, NJ, November 4, 2019 — To fight hunger this holiday season, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® of Livingston is hosting its annual Movers for Meals® collection drive to provide nonperishable food items to families with the goal of putting more food on tables.

According to Feeding America, 42 million Americans struggle with hunger, which is nearly equal to the 43.1 million officially living in poverty. Even more shocking statistics show of this number, 13 million are children and 5.4 million are seniors that don’t get proper nutrition.

This year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is partnering with local shelters and businesses who will serve as drop off points for nonperishable food items. All donations received will be donated directly to New Jersey Community Food Bank in Hillside New Jersey.

  • Canned Ham, salmon, spam, chicken, and ham
  • Peanut Butter (Plastic Jars only)
  • Pasta
  • Boxes potatoes
  • Rice
  • Cereal 
  • Mac & Cheese
  • Soup
  • Diapers & feminine hygiene products 

This fall marks the ninth anniversary of the Movers for Meals program. The program was first introduced in Michigan in 2010 and by 2012, franchises donated 16,000 lbs., of food to food banks across the state. The program is expected to continue its nationwide reach this year.
