SOFIA 8th Annual Walk Against Domestic Violence

We are thrilled to announce our 8th Annual S.O.F.I.A. Walk Against Domestic Violence (With Awareness There Is Hope) on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Canterbury Park in Montclair, New Jersey. The event is from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Registration begins at 9 a.m.; the walk begins at 10 a.m.)

Participating in the Walk or becoming a Sponsor will provide us with an opportunity to speak out and raise public awareness about the epidemic of domestic violence. It will allow victims, survivors and their loved ones to gather in support of healing and strengthening our community.

The event is always inspiring, moving, and fun. The route is an easy walk that can be adapted to all ability levels.  S.O.F.I.A. is a true grass-roots organization serving clients in the Essex County area and throughout NJ since 2009.

Start Out Fresh Intervention Advocates (fondly referred as S.O.F.I.A.) is a 501(c) (3) non- profit organization that provides advocacy, support services and referrals for temporary housing to “at risk” women and children of Domestic Violence.
