WATCHUNG, NJ - Borough of Watchung Mayor Keith Balla and the Borough Council communicated the following on Tuesday regarding a Watchung help line and volunteer information:

"As we navigate the COVID-19 challenges, Watchung Borough’s Mayor, Council, and employees have been hard at work to maintain borough functions and our communication with residents and to provide assistance to all in need.

We encourage all residents in need to call our Help Line. The phone line is manned by Watchung Council Members. Borough volunteers are willing to shop for and deliver groceries and other necessities to seniors, vulnerable persons, and/or residents who are quarantined or self-isolating. Please call the Help Line so we can assist you and allow you to stay home and remain safe. You will never have to provide a reason for your request and no health questions will be asked. Your neighbors are here to assist you in this time of need."
